Ingredients
  

Casserole Base

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 20 ounces frozen french fries

Optional Toppings

  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Add diced onions and garlic; cook until softened. Drain grease if needed.
  • Stir ketchup and mustard into the beef mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spread beef mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Arrange frozen french fries evenly over the top. Sprinkle crumbled cooked bacon if using.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until fries are golden brown and cheese is bubbling. Serve hot!
