  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 cans tomato sauce 15-ounce cans
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes 15-ounce cans
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni uncooked
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently.
  • Stir in water, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, bay leaves, soy sauce, seasoned salt, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and let the mixture simmer uncovered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the elbow macaroni, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
  • Remove bay leaves. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a cheesy beef goulash recipe twist, double the cheddar cheese and sprinkle extra on top before serving. Perfect for cozy nights!
