Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 package (12 oz) penne pasta uncooked
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Seasonings

  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Add one pound of chicken breast to the crockpot along with marinara sauce, chicken broth, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 2-3 hours until chicken is tender and easily shreds.
  • Remove chicken, shred with two forks, then return to the slow cooker. Add uncooked penne pasta and stir gently.
  • Continue cooking on low for 30-45 minutes until pasta is tender. Check every 10 minutes to prevent overcooking.
  • Stir in softened cream cheese and shredded mozzarella until melted and creamy.
  • Top with grated Parmesan cheese and serve this slow-cooked to perfection dinner immediately.
